How exciting! These were technical tests by Dana Corrigan and myself to get an idea for how to go about certain processes. The first one is Dana Corrigan's method for animating the butterflies- many movie clips in Flash using 3-D Flash techniques. I really enjoy how it's coming out so far and I really see it working well in the film!

For the flower, I was experimenting with importing illustrator files for simple puppets. The main characters will be made directly in Flash, however everything else from the backgrounds to the flowers to the butterflies will be made in illustrator to get that little bit of "texture".

As for my animation sticklers out there- no worries, these aren't meant to represent the animations in the actual film (the butterflies will fly like real butterflies, the flower will flutter in the breeze better), again these are just technical tests.
